2008-12-11Wow!! an otherwise difficult to find C.D. was shipped incredibly fast, I will never go back to the mall again. Thumbs way up!!
2008-12-10Slash is my guitar hero of all time. Unexpectedly Buckethead is just as great as he is, or even better. Try one of Buckethead's albums, you will fall in love with and finaly get addicted to his underestimated talent. Buckethead can play any style as well as guitar god Jeff Beck. "Chinese Democracy" is definately the best rock album since 1991. It got what the other great rock bands like metalica, AC/DC, etc. are always missing: beautiful melodies. In fact, Axl's new album is way way better than any Slash or Duff's solo projects. If your religion is rock music, then Axl Rose is your God and his albums is your Bible. Buy more copies of this masterpeice for your family and friends to do them a huge favor!
2008-12-10BLA BLA BLA BLA BLA...I have heard a thousand people on Stern talking about how great there new CD is and they maybe right...But its not GNR from the past...Clearly 14 years can take a toll on a band...
This CD is however, one of the greatest music compilations ever assembled. I wish I could find it on lazerdisc...
2008-12-05Cd rock's all the way. Awesome guitar sounds. Amazing vocals and nice drum work hard driveing. Like Welcome to the jungle nightrain it's so easy. Mr brownstone. And the great song Sweet child o mine. All songs on here are great most albums not nearly as good as GUN's N' ROSES. Appetite For Destruction. Great album to have.
2008-11-27I purchased this LP even though I own the digital version via iTunes. This LP certainly does sound diffrent. It sounds, as most people would describe, warmer than the digital version. It's also a lot more fun to play since it takes manual work to enjoy. The LP has excelllent information on the jacket (lyrics, photos) and is in brand new condidtion. All in all, I'm glad I purchased the LP version since I will probably listen to it a lot more this way than from iTunes. It was a good purchase.

A glimpse of the future, and not because of its huge influence and umpteen million sales. The poor-little-rich-boy protest "Out ta Get Me" intimates that Axl Rose's egotism and martyr complex were soon to grow bigger than his head; still, Appetite's night-train wreck of punk and metal sounds and sensibilities make it more than just an emblem of its time. Whether GN'R are dancing with Mr. Brownstone, penning a callow kiss-off letter to some chick named Michelle, or passing out on somebody else's sofa, this was and remains a savage journey to the heart of the American--or at least the Hollywood--dream. --Rickey Wright
